Partnerships & Collaborations
SHARP
Spider works closely with Sharp/ActionOnAddiction offering taster sessions for Sharp clients nearing the end of their programme and arranging bespoke outward bound activities for Sharp service users. We are also collaborating with Sharp to organize the UK’s first Recovery March in September, organizing an after-march celebration featuring DJs, live music and spoken word performances.

Youngaddaction
As part of an initiative to bring young people with substance misuse problems and older, former users Spider and Youngaddaction have organized two residential mentoring events in 2007 and 2008. A further event is planned in the autumn of 2009.
Summer Grove
‘From the seed to the plate’ is a joint project with residents at Summer Grove aimed at encouraging healthy eating and nutrition. Spider has provided a greenhouse and gardening equipment so that residents can grow their own food. This has been tied into a year long photography programme which will culminate in families producing their own recipe book with Spider’s assistance.

The Basement
Spider provided technical assistance and funded a promotional film by Azzuri Films to help this homeless project promote their services.
Liverpool Wellbeing Centre
Spider provides a very popular weekly yoga class to clients and members of the public at the Liverpool Wellbeing and Yoga Centre. In 2009 we are collaborating on the ‘Proteus Project’ which trains six Spider clients to deliver their own sessions to a professional standard.
Big Issue In The North
Spider sponsored one of our clients who had won a place in the English team competing in the 2008 Homeless World Cup championship in Australia. The English team selection process included many of our project’s clients and was organised by Big Issue In The North.

Brava Design
Brava Design is a social enterprise based in Liverpool providing graphic and web design services. Spider works with Brava Design on all aspects of our website and corporate material.
